After a two month investigation by the Wareham Police Department Detective Division and the South Coast Anti-Crime Unit at the Bristol County House of Correction regarding the distribution of cocaine in the Wareham area, 27 year old Shannon Bradbury of Wareham was arrested during a motor vehicle stop in Wareham at approximately 9:30 pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Ms. Bradbury was found to be in possession of 33 grams of cocaine and a Percocet pill at the time of the motor vehicle stop, which took place on Marion Road in the area of Car Quest. Although specific details of the investigation are not available at this time, Ms. Bradbury was under investigation for transporting illegal drugs, namely cocaine, into the Wareham area to her apartment (#70) at the Woods at Wareham complex, which is located less than a mile from where the motor vehicle stop took place.
As a result of the investigation by Wareham Detectives and the South Coast Anti-Crime Unit, search warrants were obtained for Ms. Bradbury’s vehicle, her apartment, and a storage unit in Middleboro, MA. During the search of Ms. Bradbury’s Wareham apartment, an assisting Barnstable County Sheriff’s Dept. K-9 unit discovered 14 grams of cocaine and $600,a digital scale, and corner cut plastic baggies. There was no further evidence located during a search of the Middleboro, MA storage unit.
Shannon Bradbury was charged with Trafficking Cocaine Over 36 grams, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, and Possession of a Class B Substance (Opiates). She will be arraigned at the Wareham 4th District Court on Thursday, December 20, 2012.
Chief Richard Stanley praised the cooperative effort of Wareham Police Department, Bristol County House of Correction South Coast Anti-Crime Unit, Barnstable House of Correction, Fairhaven PD, and Bourne PD Detectives, Officers, and Deputy Sheriffs, which led to the arrest of a drug courier in the process of brining illegal drugs into Wareham.
