On Friday, November 16, 2012 at approximately 7:00 am, Patrol Officers Nate Aronson and Eric Machado responded to Kin’s Court located in the Onset Mobile Home Park, for the report of several break and entering into motor vehicles in the area during the overnight hours. Victims of the motor vehicle breaks reported several items stolen from the vehicles. While speaking with the victims of the vehicle breaks, officers Aronson and Machado recalled an encounter with three males, who were within a quarter mile of the mobile home park at approximately 4:00 am.
Investigation of the incidents by the officers and Detective William deSilva led to the arrests of the three males encountered at 4:00 am, identified as 17 year old Chester Milburn, 19 year old Damian Fernandes, and a 16 year old juvenile male, all of Wareham. A search warrant was obtained for the home of Chester Milburn, where multiple items of suspected stolen merchandise, presumably stolen from area motor vehicles, were located and recovered for possible identification. Investigation regarding the ownership of stolen items such as guitars, power tools, sunglasses, and other personal items is currently ongoing.
The three males were placed under arrest without incident and were arraigned at the Wareham Fourth District Court, each charged with B&E into a Vehicle Nighttime, Larceny Over $250, and two counts of receiving Stolen Property valued Over $250.
Chief Richard Stanley praised the alert actions of the officers assigned to the Patrol Division midnight shift, who worked in a cooperative effort with the Detective Division to investigate the incidents, recover property, and make arrests.
