Male Stabbed In Leg During A Disturbance

Posted on September 22, 2012

On Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at approximately 1:00 am, officers of this department responded to a disturbance and the report of an injured male on Willard Street. The 28-year-old male was treated for lacerations to his leg, which he reportedly sustained when he was stabbed with a knife by one of three males that chased him a nearby residence in the same neighborhood. The victim reported that he was robbed of cash and chased on foot from the Summer St. residence by three males, one of whom stabbed him in the leg during the chase. The victim was able to alert a neighbor, who called for police assistance. The victim was transported by ambulance to Tobey Hospital in Wareham, where he was treated and released within hours.

At the time of the incident, the victim was unable to provide an exact address where the incident originated, or the names of the involved individuals, but later provided the address of #26 Summer Street. After receiving further information, detectives and patrol officers responded to the Summer St. address, where two males were positively identified by the victim as being the suspects that chased him earlier. Arrested at that time and charged with Armed Robbery was 26 year old Brian Higgins and his 24 year old brother Daniel Higgins, both of 326 Summer St. in Wareham.

As the investigation continued later in the morning of September 19th, detectives obtained a search warrant for #26 Summer St., and recovered evidence pertaining to the incident. During a search of the attic, a third involved male, 23 year old Noah Martin Long, was found hiding and was placed under arrest, charged with Armed Robbery and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (knife), due to his involvement in assaulting the victim. During further investigation at the residence, detectives also placed 23 year old Hannah Dahlstrom of #8 Beech St. in Bellingham, MA under arrest, charging her with Armed Robbery as well, due to her presence and involvement during the incident.

The arrested parties were arraigned at Wareham Fourth District Court on September 19, 2012. It should be noted that the investigation into this matter is considered to be ongoing.
