Upon further investigation and conversation with the vehicle operator, officers noticed Marijuana paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of Marijuana and a plastic bag containing 92 Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills. 19 year old Andrew Cavanaugh of #83 Miller St. in Middleboro, MA was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Wareham Police Department, then to the Wareham District court in the morning, at which time he was arraigned on the criminal charge of Possession of a Class B Substance (Oxycodone) with Intent to Distribute. Mr. Cavanaugh was also issued a Town By-law citation for possession of under one ounce of marijuana and defective motor vehicle equipment.
