House Breaks In The West Wareham Area Under Investigation

Posted on June 29, 2012

The Wareham Police Department Detective Division reports that there is an ongoing investigation into residential break and entering incidents reported in the West Wareham area, specifically in the areas of Fearing Hill Rd., County Rd., and Main Street. Suspects have been reported to enter residents by non-forceful means through unlocked basements, windows, and doors, often times without causing notice to the fact that they were in the house.

Detectives report that in many cases, various amounts of jewelry have been taken without being noticed by the homeowner until well after the time of the break and entering of the home. Detectives would like to remind homeowners to secure their homes and property to avoid such incidents. Citizens of Wareham, particularly those residing in the above mentioned areas are requested to check their houses for possible security breaches, and to check their possessions, particularly jewelry items, in case of possible thefts that may have gone unnoticed.

Citizens are encouraged to contact the Wareham Police Department Detective Division at (508) 295-1206 with any questions regarding this matter, or to schedule an appointment to view pawn books, or report possible suspicious activity in the mentioned areas of Wareham.
