Wareham Police Investigate a Pedestrian MVC on Cranberry Hwy Near MCdonalds

At approximately 8:30 pm on Monday, October 3, 2016, officers of the Wareham Police Department, along with Onset Fire Dept. and Wareham EMS personnel responded to the area of 3029 Cranberry Hwy. (Rte. 6&28) for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a 56 year old male in the roadway with apparent serious injuries as a result of being struck by a vehicle that reportedly left the scene of the incident. Witness statements regarding the incident and the involved vehicle are being compiled at this time.

Wareham EMS personnel transported the injured male to Tobey Hospital in Wareham for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The identity of the injured male is being withheld at this time.
