Sagamore Beach Man Arrest for Copper Theft

On Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at approximately 4:00 am, Wareham PD officers responded to a reported larceny occurring outsparsonside a residence in East Wareham. The caller reported copper was being stolen from the property by two males.

Upon arrival of patrol officers, the suspects fled into the surrounding wooded area. A search of the area was conducted, during which time Officer Christopher Corner located 47 year old Allen Parsons of Sagamore Beach as he hid in the woods a short distance from the home. Stolen copper was also located in the woods near the home.

Investigation regarding the identification and location of the second suspect is ongoing.

Allen Parsons was charged with Larceny Under $250, Trespassing After Notice, and Resisting Arrest. He was also arrested for an outstanding warrant regarding past charges of Assault & Battery on a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Mr. Parsons will be arraigned on the charges today at Wareham District Court.
