Armed Robbery at Cumberland Farms

On Saturday, March 1, 2014 at approximately 1:20 am, officers of the Wareham Police Department responded to the Cumberland Farms store at 2360 Cranberry Highway regarding a reported armed robbery incident. The store clerk reported being instructed to hand over cash from the registers by a lone male suspect, who held a handgun during the incident. The suspect received an undetermined amount of cash from the clerk and fled the area. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and covered his face with a dark colored mask or bandana type cloth. An area search for the suspect was conducted with negative results.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Wareham Police Department Detective Division.
