On 08/06/2013 at approximately 10:00 am while conducting surveillance regarding the sale and use of illegal drugs in Wareham, two Wareham Police Department detectives observed what appeared to be an illegal drug transaction between three individuals in the parking lot of a car wash business on Cranberry Highway. When detectives approached the occupied vehicle and identified themselves, the vehicle abruptly left the lot and was located unoccupied at the rear of a nearby business on Cranberry Highway. Detectives located suspected heroin on the front seat, the front door, and the front floor of the vehicle. Suspected heroin was also found in a plastic bag located on the side of the Cranberry Highway along the travel route of the vehicle.

During a search of the area involving patrol officers and a police K-9 unit, 27 year old Tala Tuvale, formerly of Wareham and now residing in Fairhaven, her 10 year old daughter, and 21 year old Kayla Boutilier of Wareham were located approximately 600 yards from the vehicle, while the male operator, 27 year old Nicholas Nasveschuck , formerly of Wareham and now residing in Plymouth, MA, was located on a beach off Riverside Drive in Onset, approximately one mile from the site of the original incident. The three involved participants were placed into custody without incident. DCFS was notified regarding the minor child and further investigation of the matter.

Nicholas Nasveschuck has been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (heroin), Reckless Endangerment of a Child, Failure to Stop for Police, and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The passengers in the vehicle, Tala Tuvale and Kayla Boutilier, have been charged with Knowingly Being Present Where Heroin is Kept. All have been arraigned on the charges at the Wareham Fourth District Court.
