Prepared by Lt. Kevin Walsh
On Sunday, December 18, 2011, at approximately 1:30 PM, officers of the Wareham Police Department responded to the report of a fight in the parking lot of Cranberry Highway Sunoco, located at #2889 Cranberry Highway. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were advised by a male involved in the incident that a second involved male left the scene in a vehicle. The male at the scene also reported that during the fight, a handgun, which was later determined to be a pellet gun, was pointed at him by the second male. The pellet gun was left at the scene.

Within minutes, a vehicle operated by the second involved male was stopped by Wareham Police Department officers on Sandwich Road in Wareham. The operator, identified as 25 year old David Daggett of #100 Norton Ave., South Easton, MA, admitted to being involved in the fight, which was apparently over a past business transaction where money was owed. Mr. Daggett was placed under arrest, charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

David Daggett posted bail on Sunday afternoon and was released from the Wareham Police Department. He was to be arraigned at the Wareham Fourth District Court on Monday, December 19, 2011.
